February

February flew by!  It was a crazy  month of survival mode with a  brand new baby.  We watched lots of Sesame Street, and stayed inside away from people to avoid getting sick.  

One night when Brian was getting Brayden ready for bed he was in such a hurry that he put both legs in one pant leg and he walked around like a mermaid.  We got a good laugh at it, even Brayden thought it was funny!

We thought that Brayden was having a hard time adjusting to the baby because he wouldn't sleep.  He'd cry at night, and wake up during the night crying.  He also refused to sleep during his nap time.  He was standing in his crib like this for over an hour, I think he fell asleep standing up.  Turns out he was getting his two year old molars.  YIKES!  We felt like awesome parents.  So we gave him motrin and the sleep went back to normal!  He is back to his happy self again!

Whenever I put Parker on a blanket to lay down or do tummy time, Brayden likes to join in.  I can't believe how fast kids grow in a year and a half! wow.

Brayden likes to brush his own teeth, but if we brush his teeth he screams like he is being tortured.  However, we still brush his teeth for him every night because we are serious about the no cavity club at our house.

Every now and then there was some good weather in February.  We had a fun evening playing T Ball and we did a firepit...Parker slept the whole time.

We found some awesome Elmo slippers on clearance at Kohls for $3.  He likes elmo, but not slippers.  He hates wearing socks in the house, he pulls them off as soon as we get inside.

We went for our first family walk on Valentines Day!  It was so nice to get out and enjoy some fresh air and to get moving a little bit.  The boys did good in our double stroller.  Steven and Shannon came over and gave us a treat and took our picture.  We got a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's for dinner.  It was a  LOVEly evening.

Brian hung up some pictures in our living room while I was getting Brayden ready for bed.  As soon as he heard daddy hammering, he went and found his toy hammer and came out to help daddy.

The most random things are the best toys, cotton balls and cut up straws are some of the favorites right now.  We tried making moon sand, with flour and oil.  It was pretty fun except for he made a huge mess and I don't have the patience for cleaning that up again so I threw it away.

Brayden likes to give me personal piano  concerts.  He even sits up straight in perfect Suzuki posture.

We went bowling as a family, we thought Brayden would love it.  Maybe it was too close to nap time, maybe it's because he was teething, or maybe it was because he hates when things are chaotic but he did not like when the pins would fall down.  There were many tears.  But it was an experience for all of us, we put up the bumpers for him and he bowled his little heart out!  It was really cute how he would just watch the ball go all the way down the lane, he wanted to run down the lane and get the ball every time too.

He loves his blankies so much he likes to make a nest out of them.

We watched the Oscars and when the song "Everything is awesome" came on he LOVED it!  We had to rewind it many many times and after it was over he would clap!  I pulled the video up on YouTube the next day and he didn't want the original video it had to be the Oscar version.  This is still his favorite song.

Brayden loves to work out with Daddy!  He does wall sits with him, except for Brayden sits on the stairs.  He does squats and lunges.  He is quite the athlete.

Getting the boys ready for bed!  They both love to be swaddled.
